SPECIAL is an institute PhD program funded by NFR. The PhD student will devellop machine learning techniques to quantifies the risk of occurrence of a harmfull algae bloom on seasonal time scale
Objectives

Identify dangerous situations and their key drivers for fisheries and aquaculture

Assess the skill of dynamical predictions, retrieve physical and ocean colour remote sensing
data and past HAB events in Norwegian waters
• Build and test a machine learning framework, to provide the index quantifying the riskof HAB occurrence
