Workshop on climate predictability, in September
This upcoming September, a workshop on climate predictability in the North Atlantic-Arctic sector is planned and the registration is open!
What?
Are you working with climate predictability in the North Atlantic-Arctic sector? Then you should consider signing up for this workshop to share your findings and participate in discussions around predictability in that region.
Why?
This workshop will be the final event for the Blue-Action project - an EU-funded Horizon2020-project with many international partners. It focuses on the effects that changes in the Arctic have on weather and climate. Several of our researchers have been contributing to Blue-Action for the past years, with Yongqi Gao leading work package 3 - Linkages of Arctic climate changes to lower latitudes. François Counillon is involved in the workshop organization. It is co-organised with ROADMAP, the Bjerknes Climate Prediction Unit, and the CLIVAR Climate Dynamics Panel, the CLIVAR Atlantic Region Panel and CLIVAR Northern Oceans Region Panel.
When?
The workshop will run over three days, from the 20th to the 22nd of September.
Where?
For now, the workshop is planned to happen online, but there is the possibility for a part of it happening in Bergen (Norway) or Copenhagen (Denmark).
Please register before the 21st of May if you are interested in participating in this three-day workshop.
Abstract submission is also possible until the 21st of May!
