Scientists from the Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center have started a pioneering research project in the Arctic Ocean. On their way from Svalbard towards the North Pole with hovercraft, they have already obtained exciting new measurements of the thickness of a weakening Arctic ice cover. See attachment.
