About us

Conduct sea and land ice remote sensing research applications, developing innovative methods and provide valuable products to users

Research Objectives

  • Satellite retrieval of sea ice drift: Develop new and implement existing methods for sea ice drift retrieval from diffrent SAR data.

  • Sea ice deformation: Retrieval of leads and ridges from various satellite data.

  • Marginal Ice Zone: contribute to the study of physical process at the MIZ by parmeters retrieved from satellite data.

  • Sea ice classification: development of the methods and algorithms for automatic sea ice classification from SAR.

  • Ice sheets: elevation and volume changes: retrieval of elevation and volume changes of ice sheets from radar and laser satellite altimetry.
