Lasse Pettersson Staff Picture

Lasse Pettersson is leading the marine and coastal optical remote sensing research at the Nansen Center, with main research knowledge within monitoring of harmful algae blooms, waters quality and marine ecosystems. Has been leading the development of the operational research and applications of ocean colour satellite EO data for monitoring of algae blooms and water quality in coastal and marine waters.

He is also Vice-President at the Nansen International Environmental and Remote Sensing Center (NIERSC) in St. Petersburg, Russia and member of the board of Nansen Environmental Research Centre India (NERCI) in Cochin, India.
