- Multiscale approaches in variational data assimilation: optimal control, 4D-Var, adjoint method, mesh refinement methods for structured grids, multigrid methods.
- Non-Gaussian approaches in sequential data assimilation : Ensemble Kalman filters, anamorphosis function, combined state and parameter estimation, coupled physical-biogeochemical model.
