HABILE project approach is based on an integrated observational and modelling sysetm. The project will focus on the analysis of long-term time series of in situ monitoring and satellite ocean-colour data for improved understanding of the conditions of formation of various HABs. The model predictions will under different anthropogenic forcing scenarios be used to assess the impact a reduction of nutrient load may have on HAB occurrence and ecosystem functioning in the Baltic Sea, The North Sea and the Northern Iberian coast. |
