Climate change models at the Nansen Center includes the Ocean General Circulation Model (MICOM), the coupled Bergen Climate Model (BCM) and the Norwegian Earth System Model (NorESM). These climate models have been and are used to understand the dynamics of Atlantic thermohaline circulation, to explore, identify and understand the natural climate variability and the man-made climate change with the geographical focus on the Arctic-Atlantic region and to investigate the teleconnection mechanisms of climate interaction between high-and mid-latitude regions.
