The Nansen Center is an international research centre focusing on the marine environment and ocean forecasting, satellite remote sensing and climate studies and modelling. Our scientific staff comprises experts from Professor to Post-docs in the fields of oceanography, meteorology, geo-sciences, mathematics, statistics, computer science and more.

Post-doc / young scientist position in sea ice remote sensing

The Nansen Environmental and Remote Sensing Center is offering a 3-year Post-doc /young scientist fellowship position in sea ice remote sensing.

The position is a part of the project Development of sea ice monitoring and forecasting system to support safe operations and navigation in Arctic seas (SONARC) funded by the Research Council of Norway under the bilateral NORRUSS programme. The position includes collaboration with Russian partners, who are funded by the Russian Fund for Basic Research.
