The EMOFOR service:

Overall objective:

The overall objective of the EMOFOR service is to provide met-ocean information to offshore operators, with focus on current information for deep sea operators. The service will integrate information from EO data, in situ measurements and model simulations. The EMOFOR service will consist of three service modes, each of which will be activated according to the requirements from the customers:

• Monitoring mode (real-time or near real time data from EO and in situ measurements).
• Hindcast mode (met-ocean statistics from model simulations and observations: in situ and remote sensing).
• Forecasting mode (use of forecasting models).
